Gaspeite
Gaspeite is an unusual stone, sometimes mistaken for green turquoise! This little sliver of it is set in sterling silver, with a wingspan of just under two and a half inches.
As always, every winged piece is unique! Each one begins by matching a stone to one of my many wing doodles, inspired by insects, fantasy art, and natural shapes. Using my drawings as a template, I sculpt the wings in wax wire, and then build shape and texture with heat! No two are ever quite alike.
